What you can do with Circlo
Choose your contacts
Find people by username or name and add them to your contacts. Phone discovery is optional; a saved phone number is not proof of ownership.
Approve your browsers
Link a new browser using a temporary code from a trusted one. Email recovery keeps your account and lets you explicitly revoke lost sessions.
Mobile and desktop
Use Circlo in your browser or install it as a web app. Audio calls use a peer-to-peer connection when the network permits it.
Choose with the whole picture
WhatsApp also provides end-to-end encryption for personal messages and calls. Encryption alone is not a reason to claim one service is safer than another. Compare account controls, recovery, metadata handling and how well the app works for your people.
Circlo handles account and delivery metadata to operate the service. Email recovery cannot rebuild lost message keys: keep a trusted device or a recovery backup for old encrypted messages. Circlo does not claim that it collects no metadata or that any application is impossible to compromise.
Circlo is a growing service. There is no automatic import of your WhatsApp conversations, and your contacts need their own Circlo accounts. Web notifications and audio calls depend on browser permissions and network support.
